Siren layed on her bed reading a book she had just bought on the recommendation of a friend. On the cover of the thick paperback was a pair of hands holding a red apple, and of course the title, Twilight, over a black background. Her friend had made her read the summary on the back of the cover, and she had been intrigued into buying it. She had already read almost half of the book and had only started reading it that morning. As she came to the end of another chapter, she heard her cell phone ring, and jumped up to answer the call. Her heart jumped as she thought of who could have been calling her. Is it maybe Pyros? she thought, looking at the display. She wouldn't have recognized his number if it was him, she realized, because she hadn't recieved his number, but as she looked at the phone she realized it was her friend Erin. She opened the clamshell cell phone, slightly disappointed, her heart slowing back to normal once more. "Hey Erin." she spoke and listened as her friend greeted her and asked her politely how she was doing. She blinked, caught off guard by the unnaturally formal way her friend was talking to her. "I'm good, and you?" she asked in a wary voice. "I'm good as well, but I would be better if you dished the dirty details on that guy. What happened after you left?" she asked excitedly, sounding more like her usual self. Siren sighed, rolling her eyes at her friends tendencies towards gossip. "I.. spent the rest of the day with him, and got him a job at dad's company." she replied hesitantly. She wouldn't have lied to Erin, but she was still reluctant to tell her that she'd been successful in hooking them up. She silently hoped, crossing her fingers, that Erin would not ask if she was going to see him again. "And? That can't be all. Did you ask for his number? What is he like? Where did you guys go?" Siren winced at the barrage of questions. Erin always seemed to ask her the questions that she didn't want to answer, though she almost always did anyways. "No.. I didn't ask for his number. He's really nice, and I don't think that he is inclined to like me for my money. At least it would be a shame if he were that way. We went several places... My house, then to Avalon corps, and then back to his place, and then to a beautiful park. He walked me home afterwards." she looked at her wall as she bit her lip. Did I tell her too much? she wondered. She heard Erin make an excited noise, like a squeel, and grimaced. "I'm so happy for you! This will get your mind off... that incident!" Erin half squeeled into the phone. Her pitch was so high that Siren almost missed hearing the beep of the call waiting. Someone else is calling me? she wondered as she looked at her phone to see a number she didn't recognise. She gasped and put the phone back to her ear. "I have to go, someone else is calling me. I'll call you later, okay?" she rushed the sentences. She heard a vague affirmative and quickly switched lines, relaxing a little before she said, "Hello?"

Pyros had gotten out of bed and was stilling wearing the same clothes, his bed was almost soaking wet as he had gone to bed in the clothes he had walked through the rain with. 'It'll dry...' Pyros thought as he went over to his closet and took out a black shirt and black pants and lay them on the dry part of the bed, he took off his shirt and threw it to the floor, he then took off his pants and underwear. He walked over and opened a draw as he took out some underwear and put it on before slipping the pants over them and then putting on his shirt. 'A new day' Pyros thought as he opened another draw and took out some socks, he walked out to the kitchen and sat on a chair, he put on his socks and then tied up his shoes before going to the fridge and getting out a bottle of milk.
Pyros went over and sat down, drinking the bottle, he noticed Siren's card on the table as he finished the milk and bit his lips for a moment before throwing the bottle into the bin from where he was. 'Should I call her now? or is it too early?' Pyros wondered as he looked over at the clock, it was around 8 in the morning. He picked up the card and looked at it, 'Programmer?' Pyros wondered as he picked up the phone and looked down at it for a moment, 'Alright, here goes' Pyros thought as he dialed the number on the card, on the other side Siren's voice could be heard saying hello in a questionable way. "Yes, I'm looking for a programmer that goes by the name of Siren? I met her at an internet cafe and she got me a great job, you wouldn't know her would you?" Pyros said in a joking manner as he laughed a little, "I told you I would call before we met again" Pyros added, "So how have you been? You didn't get caught in that rain did you?" Pyros asked her.

Siren smiled as she heard Pyros' cool and deep voice. She almost forgot to listen to the words, but snapped back to reality to listen to him joking around with her. He sounded like he was in an exceptionally good mood, though she didn't know what he sounded like when he was upset. "Yes, I believe I do know her." she laughed a little, "I'm doing well. I did get caught in the rain, with the exception that I wanted to be there, though. I love the rain." she closed her eyes at the memory of the night before. The cool rain had landed on her exposed skin like a charm, sending her soaring into a very peaceful mood. She layed down on her stomach on her bed with her feet up in the air as she talked to Pyros. "And thank you for calling me, you saved me from Erin's twenty questions." she hummed, amused. "How are you this morning?" she asked inquisitively, though she was almost certain she could already tell how he was feeling. She wondered, though, if his seeming excitement was a cause of anxiety. "Did the rain have an ill effect on you?" she added, as she thought about his slight concern for her.

She replied saying that she did know her and then said she was doing well and that she had gotten caught in the rain but had loved it. "Well thats good" Pyros replied as she thanked him for calling her, saying he saved her from Erin, Pyros thought for a moment. 'Erin? I think that was her friend from the internet cafe...' Pyros remembered. "Erin, isn't that your friend from the internet cafe? She does seem like the kind that would ask alot of questions, but if it weren't for her I wouldn't have met you or had my job" Pyros told her as she followed by asking how he was, he smiled though she wouldn't have known that. "Im good, but im sorta hungry, haven't eaten anything yet" Pyros said before she asked if the rain had any affect on him, he had slept in the wet clothes but wasn't feeling ill at all. "Well aside from making me feel like there is nothing wrong with the world, I think im fine" Pyros replied, as he wondered if she had eaten anything.
"Hey, have you eaten yet? Cause i was thinking of going down to a cafe and getting some pan cakes, any chance you would like to join me?" Pyros asked her as he stood up and went over to the fridge, he grabbed a bottle of water and opened it, she wasn't replying too quickly so he began to drink the bottle of water. It didn't taste that good after having the milk but it was still fluid that he needed to replenish the body.

Pyros seemed a little unsure who Erin was as he asked if she was the one from the internet cafe, telling her that she did seem like the kind to ask alot of questions. "Yeah, that was Erin." she replied, listening as he answered her question about how he was feeling. She thought he heard his pitch change slightly, as if the expression on his face had changed, and he told her that he was good, but hungry. She smiled serenely in response to the effect the rain had had on him, happy that she could share that sentiment with him. Suddenly he asked her if she had eaten, inviting her to join him at a cafe for pancakes. She smiled, but she almost forgot to answer him, and as she returned from her thoughts she almost laughed at herself. "I would love to join you." she replied, the laughter she hadn't release sounding in her voice. "I haven't eaten anything significant yet this morning." she added. She looked at the clock on her bedside table as she asked, "Do you want to meet there, or...." she didn't finish the sentence, but she was sure he knew what she had been about to say. I don't even know where there is yet... she thought as she rolled her eyes at her own impatience. She felt slightly restless knowing that she would be able to see him again so soon.

She said she would love to join him, Pyros smiled before replying, "Great". She said she hadn't eaten any significant, she asked if he wanted to meet her there or something else, she cut off a little early, before finishing the sentence. "Well, You don't even know where were going, unless you can read minds, you can't read minds over the phone right? Because I don't know if I could be seen with one of those psycics" Pyros said laughing a little, he did seem to be joking alot and was happy and positive today. "Well, I'll come by your place in say 15 minutes and we can walk from there, sound good?" Pyros asked her, he would have picked her up with a car, but although he had a license he didn't have a car, it was hard enough trying to make the money to pay for bills and food, on top of that he wanted a persocom and that wasn't going to come cheap.

Siren laughed as he told her she didn't know yet where they were going unless she was psycic. "No, I read facial expressions better. I can't see you over the phone. And, yes, I realized that I didn't know where it was we were going, after I said that." she replied. She smiled, knowing that reading a person's facial expressions wasn't unorthodox. It was the way all humans communicated, with body language as well as with speach. She heard him ask if it was alright to meet her at her house and then walk from there and quickly replied, "Yes, I'll see you when you get here." She would have to hurry to get ready, but she didn't mind. She was used to being ready in less time than that. "When you get here, you'll be lead into our foyer, and I'll find you there." she added for clarification. She rolled over, the phone still pressed to her ear, and slid off the bed, standing up and walking over to her closet. It was a walk-in closet, but Erin was always surprised to find that it wasn't overflowing with clothes. She often joked with Siren that her closet was begging her to feed it. Remembering this silly detail, Siren smiled. "I'll let you go, so that you can get ready to leave. I don't want you to starve because of me." she said, grabbing a shirt and examining it. She shook her head and placed its hanger back on the bar. She quickly chose a light blue skirt that fell just below her knees and a form fitting white tank top. She dressed just as quickly and examined herself in her full length mirror. The skirt was light and flowy, and her tank top was made of a solid looking fabric with spaghetti straps. She grabbed a pair of blue flats and a light sweater with sleeves that ended just past her elbows. "I wonder what his favourite color is?" she thought aloud as she grabbed a clip for her hair. The clip was plain, and black, and blending into her hair as she clipped strands from both sides of her head at the back of her head. She looked again in the mirror and then grabbed her wallet, standing thoughtfully in the middle of her closet as she wondered what to do with it. I don't like purses... she thought, wrinkling her nose slightly in thought. She sighed in defeat, rolling her eyes, as she moved further into the closet to grab a knit hand bag. It had the image of a butterfly on both sides and was lined with a silk-like fabric. She slipped her wallet inside, and then her cell phone, as she had hung up after saying goodbye to Pyros before she got dressed. She looked at the small analog watch that adorned her right arm and smiled happily. It had been ten minutes already, so she left her room with the straps of the bag draped over her shoulder. She made it to the foyer and sat down on the main staircase to wait for Pyros, letting herself get lost in thought.

Pyros smiled as she replied saying she realized the mistake she had made and that she could only read faces, though she couldn't see his over the phone. She then replied saying she would like for him to come and pick her up and that she would be waiting for his arrival, "Alright, I'll be there as soon as possible" Pyros replied before she explained that he would be lead into the foyer where he would meet her, "Alright" Pyros replied, but he got the feeling she didn't hear it too well, it seemed like she was moving around rapidly. She then said she would let him go so he could get ready and so he wouldn't starve on her account, though Pyros knew she wanted him to go so she could get ready instead, it was funny how that was sometimes. "Alright, well I'll see you soon" he said before hanging up and putting the phone on the table. 'Better get ready...' Pyros thought as he looked at himself, he chuckles slightly, 'I'm already ready' he said with a laugh as he stood up and got his keys, putting them into his pocket he walked off toward the door.
He left the door and closed it behind him, locking it shut before heading down the street for Siren's mansion. He looked around at the many shops that were open and ready for service, he passed the cafe he had planned on going to, it wasn't far from his place and had the best pancakes ever. 'I wonder if she even likes pancakes' Pyros thought as he didn't even think about that, 'Not much of the other stuff on the menu is that good really' Pyros added as he arrived at her large gates and went over to the persocom, asking to enter. "Umm, Im Pyros, Im here to escort Siren to breakfast" Pyros told the persocom, as just being in the presence of the house made him seem like he had to address everything properly instead of just saying he was there to pick up Siren. "Yes, sir, Please follow me" he replied as he lead him into the gates as they opened and into the foyer, "Take a seat and Siren will be with you shortly" he told Pyros before walking off, Pyros sat down in a seat and began to twiddle his fingers as he waited.

Siren looked up from her thoughts as she heard the front door open, and stood up to leave. She approached and saw Pyros sitting in a chair, looking like he felt awkward being in her house. "You can relax." she said, smiling at him, "Theres no need for you to feel uncomfortable here, though I don't know if my words will convince you. I'm ready, if you are?" she stepped up closer, in full view of him now. She felt anxious and light as she stepped around in front of him. I can't believe I'm so excited about seeing him again. she thought, having only seen him once before. She laughed slightly, and spoke, "We're getting back to you starving, come on. You'll have to lead me, unless you're going to tell me where we're going?"

Pyros sat and waited for her to join him, after only a few minutes she came over to him and told him he didn't have to feel so uncomfortable in her house, she then asked if he was ready to go. He looked up at her, and examined her clothes, she looked even better than the last time they had gone out. "yeah, I'm ready" he said, standing up and looking at her. "You look beautiful" he complimented as he noticed her laughing slightly and saying he should lead her, "Of course, lets get going then" Pyros replied as he led her out the door and outside the gates. He began leading her back the way he had come, "So, you said you ate something, but it wasn't significant? What was that?" Pyros asked her as he turned his head to look at her and hit a street sign accidentally, luckily only his shoulder had struck into it, he pressed on with a slight sarcastic laugh and continued leading her toward the cafe that was near his house.

Siren heard Pyros say that she was beautiful and blushed lightly, "Thank you." she said as he stood up and joined her. He began to lead her to the cafe he wanted to eat breakfast with her in, when he looked at her and asked her what she had eaten already, since she had said it wasn't significant. She heard a slight metallic noise as Pyros clipped his shoulder on a street sign, and she looked up at him with concern. "Did that hurt?" she asked, remembering his question so that she could answer it later. His slight laugh made her believe that he was embarrassed by what had happened and she looked away to save him the further embarrassment. She waited a moment to see if he was in pain, before answering his question. "Does it really matter what I ate, if my hunger now gives me an excuse to see you?" she asked slyly, laughing. "I had an apricot, fully intending on eating more later. You calling and asking me to breakfast just saved me attempting to figure out what i wanted." she added, giving him no time to respond to her first comment. She wasn't really certain how wise it had been for her to say something like that to him, and she looked ahead, slightly nervous now. She decided to distract herself by wondering what he liked to eat on his pancakes. Whip cream, some kind of fruit, syrup.. nothing? she thought, curious to find out.

Siren asked Pyros if his accident had hurt him, he looked at her with a smile. "No, no, Its nothing, it was just a light tap on the shoulder, thats all" Pyros replied, 'The embarrassment is worse pain' Pyros continued in his mind as they turned a corner. Siren then asked him if it mattered what she ate if it meant she got to see him, but before Pyros could reply she already answered the question, saying she had an apricot and intended on eating later, she said that his invitation had saved her trouble on deciding where to eat later. Pyros noticed her looking a little nervous before she looked away from him, he smiled. "Well, im glad I saved you the trouble then" Pyros told her as they took another turn.
He looked ahead and could see the sign of the cafe, it was a steaming coffee that hung out of the building above the entrance. "There is it" Pyros told her as he pointed toward the building with the giant coffee. "Best pancakes in Tokyo" Pyros added as they came to the entrance and he looked up at the giant coffee mug, "Just don't have any coffee, its terrible" Pyros suggested with a wink as he opened the door and lead her in. He went over and took a seat at a table just nearby the window, he looked over at Siren and awaited her to sit down on the opposite seat from him.

Siren heard him say that he was glad that he had saved her the trouble of deciding what to eat, and glanced at him. He was smiling, but she wasn't sure if it was just about saving her from her decision making troubles. She decided to take it that he was enjoying her company, and smiled happily beside him. He pointed out the cafe that he was taking her to, and told her that that was where the best pancakes in Tokyo were made. As they approached the door, he hinted that the coffee was terrible and she replied, "Good to know." Her mind raced with the admission that she didn't drink coffee as she thought Isn't it always terrible? She wondered if Pyros was a coffee drinker, knowing that he wouldn't have known how good the coffee was without having had it at least once. He lead her in the door, and walked her to a window-side table, sitting down and waiting for her to join him. The cafe looked normal, decorated so that everything matched in some way, whether it was the colors, shapes, or some theme related to coffee. She took her seat across from Pyros, leaning slightly towards Pyros without touching the table. The temperature within the Cafe was consistant with the temperature outside, warm and inviting. She was feeling slightly more relaxed now that she was sitting down, no longer worried about her bold statement. She was now more curious about what he had thought about it, than nervous that she had overstepped their 'first-date' bounds. It was only technically their first official date, though they had already spent almost an entire day together. She looked out the window for a moment, realizing with a jolt that she hadn't been paying attention to where they were going. She looked back at Pyros, trying not to think about what a worthless sense of direction she had. Within a few moments a pretty waitress walked up and handed them menus. Siren looked up, but the waitress had already walked away and she couldn't determine if it had been a human or a persocom. She looked down at the neatly bound, black covered, small menu with silver lettering outlining the name of the cafe. She opened it, glancing over the options for breakfast that were offered. She was definately taking pancakes, but she wasn't sure what she would top it with yet. She was still anxious to hear what Pyros was going to order for his.

Pyros watched as she came and sat down opposite him, leaning toward him. He smiled back at her as she looked out the window for a moment, as she turned back toward him a waitress had come over and handed menus to them with a smile before walking off toward the next table. Pyros put the menu on the table, he knew what he was ordering, he always had the same every time he came to the cafe for breakfast, he had pan cakes with maple syrup and butter, just how he loved it, and it was among the cheapest kind of pan cake they had, Pyros always had to make sure he didn't spend too much since he only just got the job with Siren's father and he hadn't even worked yet, money was tight and he knew it and was used to it. "So, how are you this morning? You seem pretty happy to me, but i've been known to read people wrong on several occasions" Pyros asked her as the maid came back over and asked if they wanted to order any drinks or if they had already decided on what they wanted. Pyros smiled up at her, "Good morning Bridgette, how are you today?" Pyros greeted her as she smiled down at him. "Well, I didn't even realize you came in Pyros, and with a girl huh?" She replied with a wink and a nudge to the shoulder, Pyros blushed slightly. "Yeah, well focus on your job, I'll have a glass of water and the usual pancakes with maple syrup and butter" Pyros ordered his food, she knew the order and didn't even need Pyros to say it but he always did. "And what do you want Siren?" Pyros asked her as they both looked over at her, Bridgette holding her pen to the notepad in front of her, ready to write the order she asked for.

As she studied the menu, she noticed that Pyros had put his down without even opening it. He must already know what he wants. she thought, searching his face. He certainly looked confident. He asked her how she was and she smiled at him. "You didn't read me wrong. I'm happy." she replied. She didn't add that he could have had some hand in her current mood. A waitress walked up and asked for their order, but Siren was surprised to hear Pyros start chatting with her like they were old friends. As she heard the girl hint at Pyros being with a girl, she turned red at the same time as Pyros did, blushing and looking away from the waitress. Pyros fended off the comment by telling her to do her job, and then placed his order. She looked back towards the pair when Pyros asked her what she wanted. "Oh.. I'll just have the same thing." she said, trying to fight the natural quietness of her voice. She often had to repeat herself when she asked for something in a restaurant, but it wasn't very noisy in this one, so it didn't take much. She passed the menu to the waitress, and watched as she walked up to the counter to order their food, returning her eyes to Pyros once more. I should see if I can duplicate the taste of these pancakes, if he likes them so much. she thought. "So, what did you have planned for today? or have you not gotten that far yet?" she asked, hoping she didn't sound disrespectful. She knew that some people liked to be more spontanious, but she didn't know what kind of person Pyros was. Discovering him would be a journey, and that was one journey she was willing to take, even if, in the end, she was hurt. 'Curiosity killed the cat.' came to her mind as she looked at him and waited for an answer.
