Siren Avalon crossed the threshold of the internet cafe with her best friend, Erin Haven. This was a place that they often came to hang out and catch up with each other, and was within walking distance of her house. They sat down at a window-side round table and ordered a hot chocolate and a cappuccino from the persocom waitress that appeared. Siren rolled her eyes at her friend, thinking of how much she didn't like coffee of any kind. Within moments the drinks had arrived and she sipped the hot drink while her friend told her about the movie she had been to with her boyfriend. "You ought to get a boyfriend too, Siren. They're so much fun." Erin giggled. "You know how i am around people i don't know. It's unlikely that any guy would like to get to know a girl who won't talk to him at first, and thats why i have not yet had one. Any guy i meet stops trying after the first few days, and so i never have a chance to open up to them." she dismissed her friend's idea with the wave of her hand. "Thats not true. There are guys in our group you know. They got to know you." Erin told her with a disgusted look on her face. "Well, find me one like them that wants more than a friendship with me." she shook her head. "Lets talk about something else please." Erin kept her mouth shut, exasperated. Then she seemed to think of something to say and looked up with a smile on her face. "He's cute." she said, pointing towards a guy across the room. "that is the least intelligent thing i've heard you say all day." Siren muttered, turning curiously to look at the guy her friend was pointing at.

Pyros was sitting at the internet cafe searching the web for information on Persocoms. He was completely unaware of the two girls that were looking over at him, he was too busy looking ahead at the computer screen. He was comparing prices on persocoms so he could get the best deal he could, since he was very short on money at the moment. 'I need to find a cheap persocom, but I don't want it to lack of any quality' Pyros thought as he searched the web again, finding another persocom that was far out of his price range.
'I'm never going to find a persocom within my price range' Pyros thought as he closed the persocom price window and focused on reading about all the newest Persocom technologies available to him.

Siren turned back to her friend and sighed. "I'm right, though, aren't I?" Erin interrogated, glancing over once more at the guy. "You know what? It's time for you to start living." she stood up and looked at her friend expectantly. "What?" siren blinked in confusion. She wasn't sure what her friend expected her to do. Making a noise of disgust, Erin walked away from her in the direction of the guy across the room. As she approached, Siren could hear her ask, "Excuse me, you don't happen to be single, do you?" Siren was appauled. Her friend was about to force her to interact with a guy. She leaned forward, hiding her head in her hands. I'm going to kill her. she thought as she saw Erin pointing at her from the corner of her eye. She was already blushing furiously, her cheeks a stark pink against her pale white skin. Not very much time had passed when her friend returned to the table.

Pyros was looking up the sensors that persocoms used to know the surroundings around them when suddenly an attractive young lady came over to him and asked him if he were single. He turned around to face her but, awkwardly she was a little taller than he assumed and he was staring directly at her breasts. A little embarrassed Pyros stood up and looked her in the eyes. "Umm, yeah I am" Pyros replied nervously.
Suddenly he realized that it wasn't her that was interested in a relationship, It seemed that one of her friends was the one he was supposed to be getting to know. She pointed at a young lady sitting at a table with her face in her hands. She looked beautiful, atleast as far as Pyros could tell just from looking at her body with her face concealed. She then lead him over to the girl.

Siren looked up in embarrassment as she noticed that her friend was smiling. Oh no, she got him to come over here.. she thought. She turned her face slightly to see him standing beside their table, where Erin had left him to go to the counter. What do I do? she thought, mad at her friend for not staying there to act as a buffer. "I'm sorry if she..... was...." she couldn't finish the sentence, and she sat searching for the words that would convey what she was thinking. She wasn't used to talking to guys that weren't already her friends, even though this one was as attractive as Erin had said. She sat uncomfortably waiting for the guy to say something, as her own words had deserted her.

Pyros stood there as the girl that had escorted him over left to go somewhere else, leaving him with the other girl. She seemed as nervous as Pyros was, but she didn't seem very happy to be introduced to him. She tried to begin a sentence but she seemed to trail off and leave the sentence as it was. Pyros smiled as he looked at her face for the first time, she was beautiful. "I see, Your friend is trying to set you up huh?" Pyros asked her as he looked over at the seat that was just across from her. "Do you mind if I sit down? And then maybe could chat and get to know each other a little more?" Pyros asked as he walked over to the chair and prepared to sit down if she agreed.

Siren bit her lip as he asked about Erin's plans for them. She was unprepared for this interaction, and as he asked if he could sit down and get to know her, she looked at him nervously. "I.. don't mind." she answered timidly as she looked away from him for a moment. He seemed willing enough to get to know her, but time would tell if he proved to be just like the other guys she had met. "I'm Siren Avalon." she told him, knowing it would be the first thing he expected to hear. I hope he doesn't recognise my name... he was looking up persocom information i think... she thought in anticipation of his reaction. Some of the others she had told her name to had known who she was, and had probably thought that they could use her because of her timid and almost vulnerable nature. She had changed their minds in an instant.

Pyros sat down at the table as he began to feel alot better about getting to know her. He was no longer feeling nervous and was very confident in his speech, after all, he had done this alot recently having had many girlfriends that just weren't the one. He looked over at her face and admired her for a moment getting to know her eye color and the shade of her skin.
She then told him her name was Siren Avalon, "Siren eh? Thats a wonderful name, Siren like the sirens that lead unfortunate sailors to their dooms with their songs" Pyros told her revealing that he knew a good deal about his history. "And Avalon, like the island that grows pure golden apples in the legend of King Arthur" Pyros added knowing a little about her last name aswell. Ofcourse her name might have no reference to history but he thought he might aswell go along with it anyway.
Pyros obviously had no idea who she was, but he was very willing to find out. "So how old are you?" Pyros asked her as he examined her looks and guessed to himself that she was 16. 'She's really a rare find, so beautiful' Pyros thought as he awaited her reply.

Siren looked up curiously as he began to cite the meanings of her names. She had known both, but that he had was interesting to her. She found herself wanting to know more about him. She blinked as he finished. She was beginning to become more comfortable, even though she knew he might still want nothing to do with her once he knew more about her. He asked her age, and without hesitating she replied, "I am 17." She sized him up and thought that although he as tall, his appearance told her that he couldn't have been much older than her. She still didn't know his name, so she asked, "I don't believe you told me your name?" she tilted her head slightly, in the manner a dog would when you talked to it.

Pyros waited patiently to an answer to his question, she seemed to have alot more on her mind than just the answer of his question. She then answered that she was 17. '17, wow, she looks so youthfully beautiful...' Pyros thought as he thought about it as he heard her asking for his name.
"Oh, I didn't? How rude of me, My name is Pyros Shadow, Its not very hard to guess the origins of my name" Pyros answered as he studied Siren's body movement, she seemed to know how to use persuasive body movements to get the answers she wanted. "So cute" Pyros said to himself, hoping that out of excitement he hadn't said it too loudly.
"I'm 18, incase thats your next question" Pyros said with a smile on his face. He wasn't sure if he was speaking too much for the both of them or if he just thought he was speaking too much.

Siren smiled as she heard him say his name. Pyros Shadow. she thought to herself. She heard him say something to himself, though she couldn't determine what it was. Shrugging off the incident, she heard him say that he was 18. Then i was right. not too much older than me. She sat back in her chair, wrapping a piece of her black hair around her finger. This could become awkward if I don't think of something to say. she thought, as she remembered how alot of her other set ups had ended. "Do you come here often? I don't think i've ever seen you here before." she asked, not mentioning that she rarely paid attention to the people around her. She wasn't social by nature, so even though she came here often, she could have failed to notice that one person had been there the whole time. I could swear that almost every time i come here theres a new persocom, but Erin says they'd been there the whole time.. she thought, finding a recent example of her observances.

Pyros watched her sit back and wrap her hair around her finger, he wasn't sure if that was a good sign or not. He had always found that females were much too hard to read and even if you were sure that something seemed positive, they could turn it the other way.
she then asked if he came to the internet cafe often, Pyros thought about it. "Not really, I have come here on a few occasions, but most of the time I don't use the internet, although I've always wanted my own persocom, Problem is that I can't afford one" Pyros told her as he looked around at the many persocoms that were in the room.

Siren nodded as he told her that he wanted a persocom. "They are quite convenient aren't they." she commented. She wasn't sure how he would react if she told him that she had multiple persocoms, and made programs for them, or how he would react if she told him about her father's job. "You probably have a job, do you not?" she asked, continuing on his topic of being broke. She would most likely never know the feeling of having to work for her next meal, but it saddened her that others did.

"yeah, It sure would be nice to surf the net within the comforts of my home" Pyros replied sitting back slightly and imagining it. She then asked him if he had a job, he was a little embarrassed to answer but he had to, he was trying to get to know her and he didn't want to hold back anything.
"Uhh, No, I don't have a job at the moment, Although i am looking if you know any?" Pyros replied with his own question to hers.

She was slightly surprised to hear that he had no job. He wanted a persocom that he could not afford, and was not working to get more money? He had asked her if she knew of a job opening, so she thought about all the places she had been that week. "Well.. Can you cook?" she asked, remembering that there were a few restaurants and bakeries that had Help wanted signs. He wouldn't have to be able to cook to work at any of them, but it might help. Erin was still across the room, and Siren could see her watching them from where she stood. She looked happy, but the expression on her face did not amuse Siren.
